RLSS Kent Branch Aquapark Fun Day

Emma Sawyer Kent Branch Youth Development Officer – On the 7th of September, members from all of the Kent branch clubs were invited along to do an aqua park session at St Andrews lakes, in Halling. 34 members came along to have an hour of fun on the obstacle course, and meet other members from other clubs, and to find out what other activities they would like to do.It was great to see so many people having fun, and lots of happy faces all round.

This was one of the first events in a while, which brought together clubs and parents, and was the first event which I have organised as the youth development officer for Kent. Whilst in this role, I knew I wanted to create an event for young people to meet, and this went down really well. This couldn’t have been done without the support of the Kent branch management committee and all our members across Kent. We were lucky to receive some funding from the Eric Stokes memorial fund for this event, which enabled this event to be open to more young people. Hopefully, now that we have successfully ran one event, the next will be even better.
